Welcome to SGS Packaging Europe


SGS Packaging Europe has multiple locations around the UK, with offices in Hull and Tamworth as well as facilities across Europe in France, Germany and Amsterdam. Marks, our design business, also has offices in London and Birmingham. Our hundreds of experienced and innovative employees get to work on a huge range of projects for global brands, enabling endless opportunities for skills building, the gaining of in-house training and wide-ranging career development.

Whilst staff and clients alike know about the fascinating activity that goes on within our walls, we’ve been a bit quiet when it comes to sharing insight into the achievements, goals and personal milestones of the individuals who make our company such a success. That’s why we’ve launched Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels alongside this LinkedIn profile, which will share a variety of content that celebrates SGS Packaging Europe’s rich and inspiring company culture.

A brand new team has been formed to ensure that everyone gets a chance to speak about topics that are important to them, from successes and promotions, to weddings, birthdays and the birth of SGS babies, which we guarantee will bring a smile to your face. With all of our staff regularly taking part in charitable activity, including office-based competitions, personal challenges and volunteering roles, we’ll also let you know about all of the events and fundraising that takes place in aid of worthy causes.

This is the start of something very exciting, as SGS Packaging Europe is made up of people who are passionate about their work, simultaneously allocating time to making the world a better place through everything from mentoring young learners, providing them with a career path for the future, to running marathons for charity. This is what makes each office such a vibrant and motivational environment to work in, with fresh ideas and smart solutions arising on a daily basis.

Apprentices Hand Over Donations to HHCP

SGS Packaging Europe has three busy offices in Hull, with a combined workforce of around 500 specialists. To reflect its commitment to high-quality training, in 2018 it launched its apprenticeship programme, presenting an exciting way to enter the industry and begin a fulfilling career. There are currently 16 apprentices working at SGS offices in The Maltings and Bridgehead Business Park. Alongside in-house training, one-to-one mentoring and regular development days, they have also been given ownership over a series of community projects taking place throughout 2019. Managers Receive Expert Mental Health Training from Mind

According to research carried out by Mind, there’s a culture of fear and silence around mental health that affects employees and businesses throughout the UK. With 21% of workers saying that they have called in sick as a result of workplace stress, 30% disagreeing that they would feel able to talk openly with their line manager about it, and a staggering 56% of employers saying they would like to do more to improve staff wellbeing but don't feel they have the right training or guidance, it’s clear that significant change is required.
