Our Tamworth Office Invites You to Wear What You Wish

We’re very proud of our employees across the UK and Europe, as they continually come up with brilliant ideas for supporting people in need. With Christmas only a few weeks away, our Tamworth office is holding some exciting activities that will help to create life-changing experiences for seriously ill, vulnerable and underprivileged children.

Tamworth staff are invited to dust off their antlers, Santa hats and Christmas jumpers for a Wear What You Wish event on Tuesday 11 December. In exchange for a donation, everyone gets to dress up in whatever they wish, from festive ties and jolly hats, to full-on Chrimbo ensembles that we’ll definitely share on our social media channels. If previous years are anything to go by, we know for a fact that there are going to be some truly eye-catching outfits!

Staff are also invited to bring in homemade cakes that will be sold throughout the day. The funds raised from this activity will be split between two very worthy causes: Make-A-Wish and Santa’s Little Helpers. Whilst staff get creative and have fun, every penny will go towards making this a Christmas to remember for a child in need.

A suggested donation of one or two pounds can be given to Gillian Davies or Caroline Martin for the Wear What You Wish event, plus you can enjoy a delicious Yuletide bake for a nominal donation of your choice from mid-morning. We’re aiming to raise as much money as possible, so make sure to don your best Christmas attire and whip up something yummy in your kitchen before Tuesday.

We’re sure you’ll have all heard of Make-a-Wish, which turns dreams into reality for critically ill children. From meeting Spider-Man and walking with dinosaurs, to starring in their own films and having a bedroom makeover, the not-for-profit organisation goes above and beyond to grant amazing wishes to brave and wonderful little ones.

Meanwhile, Santa’s Little Helpers is a group of kind-hearted people in Tamworth who come together each December to share some Christmas sparkle with deserving families in the local area. They do this by organising fundraising events in order to buy presents and pass them on to Santa, who then visits family homes to hand out gifts on behalf of individuals, businesses and the local community.

There’ll even be some fantastic rewards for staff who wow their co-workers through creativity and effort, with prizes awarded for the following:
-- Best Festive Tie
-- Best Festive Headwear
-- Best Festive Jumper
-- Best Christmas Bakes

We want to see as many people as possible get involved in this fun celebration, so make sure to pop Tuesday 11 December in your diary!

There’s all kinds of charitable activities taking place across SGS Packaging Europe’s offices, so keep up to date by checking out our FacebookTwitter and Instagram channels and sharing the festive spirit with your friends and followers.
