Are You Tough Enough?

Following our piece on this year’s Hull 10K and Half Marathon, our teams are already getting ready for charity events taking place in 2019. One of them is Tough Mudder, with the Yorkshire instalment set for Saturday 27 July.

As the official website states, to call Tough Mudder epic is an understatement. With a course that’s 8-10 miles long and includes 25 world-class obstacles (not to mention plenty of very wet mud), it’s an incredible experience unlike any other. By taking part with your teammates you can get fit, set yourself personal targets, win awards, have tons of fun with co-workers and make new friends in the process.

Whilst you’re tackling the slippery course, the Tough Mudder team will take action photos that you can add to your social media channels. Once you’re done and ready to refuel, there’s delicious street food, craft beer and the Mudder Village After Party, which is always a huge celebration. Everyone who finishes gets a free T-shirt, a headband and a well-earned pint. Can’t say fairer than that!

If you’re concerned that you don’t have what it takes, don’t worry – the Tough Mudder website is full of fantastic resources. You can download training guides, 10-minute workouts, fitness tips, invigorating recipes and inspiring videos completely free of charge, all of which are designed to help people to improve their stamina and toughen up.

The site also recommends what you should wear, gives guidance on running for charity, shares news and blog updates from Mudder Nation, and really does have everything you need to get involved in a thrilling and hilarious endurance event.
